A Burlington business group is taking inventory of private security cameras in the city's downtown and offered results to police to help reduce crime.
The move worries one Vermont civil liberties advocate.
"I think people want to think about what kind of message about the community this sends to people," said Allen Gilbert, executive director of the Vermont chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.
