Woman arrested in Chris Brown break-in; 'I love you' written on walls

Singer Chris Brown arrived at his Agoura Hills home early Thursday to find a woman had cooked several meals, wrote “I love you” on his walls and painted her name on his car.

Brown took a photograph of the woman, whom he didn't know, and posted it on Instagram. She appeared to be covered in a blanket.

“I get home and find this crazy individual in my house,” he wrote.

The woman, identified as Amira Ayeb, 21, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and felony vandalism, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in Agoura Hills.

The woman apparently removed the hinges off a door to enter his home on Mulholland Highway.

Once inside, she cooked a few meals, wrote “I love you” on the walls and threw out his daughter's clothes and dog's belongings.

“Then had all these crazy voodoo things around my crib, goes to show you how crazy people are crazy!” he said.

The woman, Brown said, also painted her name on his cars.

“I pray she will get help,” he said.

Deputies shoot, kill meat cleaver-wielding man in South El Monte

A man was shot and killed in South El Monte on Tuesday after he fatally attacked another man with a meat cleaver, assaulted a woman and waved the knife at deputies, authorities said.

The man, who hasn’t been identified, was struck by gunfire and died in the 10400 block of Enloe Street, according to Sgt. Oscar Lopez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.

The man reportedly stabbed another man to death with the knife about 12:41 p.m., Deputy Amber Smith said.

When deputies arrived, the man pointed the knife toward them so they fired at him, Lopez said.

A woman who was with the men was also assaulted and taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, Smith said.

Investigators recovered a weapon at the scene. Initial reports described the knife as a machete, but sheriff's investigators at the scene said the weapon was a meat cleaver.

Because the shooting involved a deputy, multiple independent investigations were underway. The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office will also investigate the shooting.

Suspect in fatal Rialto hate crime to be evaluated by psychiatrist

A San Bernardino County judge has expressed doubt about the mental competence of a Fontana man accused of a hate crime in the fatal baseball-bat beating of a 54-year-old grandfather in Rialto this week.

Police say Jeremiah Bell, 22, went out Sunday looking to attack “anybody who wasn’t black.” On a residential street just a short walk from his apartment, they say, Bell, who is black, found Armando Barron, who is Latino, walking home from the grocery store, and attacked him about 2:30 p.m.

Barron died of his injuries at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center on Thursday, the same day that Bell appeared in court to be arraigned on attempted murder charges with an enhancement for use of a deadly weapon. He was also charged with a hate crime.

During the hearing, Superior Court Judge Jon D. Ferguson ordered the proceedings delayed until a court-appointed psychiatrist could evaluate Bell, court minutes show. He had pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors plan to file murder charges against Bell once reports confirming Barron’s death are submitted, a district attorney’s spokesman said.
